Simply Natural by Vicki is run by three women who are working to provide naturally made products that help the user.  Since we are just starting up, we work to our strengths and help each other.  Here is a little bit about each of us:

Vicki is the chief operating officer.  She makes the products and researches new products.  With her masters' degree in library science she is a guru at research.  This means she does everything in the way of researching product recipes and adjusting them as needed.

Eileen (that's me) is the business manager and financial supporter.  I advise on the running of the business - things like accounting, sales, and so on.  With my business degree and writing experience, I take care of these types of tasks.

Kelly is our consultant.  She provides product feedback and financial support.  Kelly brings another perspective and ideas to the table for product development and company image.

Kelly, Vicki and myself are the testing guinea pigs.  All of our products go through a review where we determine whether they work.  We've rejected some for texture, reaction to ingredients, and other reasons.  Our goal is to provide our customers with products we KNOW work well.

We are a start-up company providing natural products made from mostly organic raw materials in an effort to reduce the number of chemicals being used in our household.  Vicki has spent the last eight months working on products that will make our lives easier.  From my eczema and her skin issues, we have both struggled with healing our bodies.  Putting chemical laden products on skin that is already annoyed just wasn't working.

Vicki started researching - something she excels at - and discovered all sorts information for making our own products.  Not only did she research products we could make but she also research the raw materials she would use to put into the products.  Since the chemicals in the over-the-counter products were the problem, she looked for organic / natural products in order to have no chemicals in the products she was making.  She started with shampoo, hand soap, and lotion.

Initially the products were supposed to be just for us.  We were just making stuff for us to use to fill a need we had.  Then I took some of the lotion to work.  I had a jar sitting on my desk and people tried it.  My student workers and faculty loved the lotion.  Many encouraged us to sell her products.  This was the birth of Simply Natural by Vicki....
